About Alessandra

Alessandra has been drawing all her life, combining humour and observation to illustrate scenes of everyday life with warmth, irony and a playful signature style. Her first canvas was the back of a tabulating card her dad brought home from work.

Having lived in Italy, Sweden and Ireland, Alessandra also loves to spend time immersed in her surroundings, sketching the everyday landscapes that have formed and continue to form her through the years. Her medium of choice is pen and watercolor, though she loves to experiment using fineliner pens to create detailed monochrome illustrations.Since May 2024, Alessandra is working full time as artist and illustrator based at the Gardener’s Cottage, Ardgillan Castle, Co. Dublin and her work is available as a combination of originals, prints and cards. She also takes a limited number of commissions for bespoke illustrations throughout the year.
