Nicola McKenna is a Visual Artist based in Dublin, Ireland. Since 2013, she works with reclaimed mixed media to create figurative and abstract artworks that represent human emotions and experience. Inspiration comes from everyday people and our differences which are often quiet and personal. 

With careers in software testing and writing, Nicola also teaches Julia Cameron’s program for creative recovery ‘The Artist’s Way’.

Nicola has shown collections at Ireland’s foremost creative expo ‘Showcase Ireland 2024’. She completed a 3-month touring exhibition of her ‘Pink Strands’ collection.

She contributes work to various cultural and charity events, and has successfully been awarded funding towards practice development.
